Two Folsom men were arrested Wednesday afternoon after an investigation into separate burglary, arson and firearm crimes. The crimes took place in November of last year and have been under a thorough investigation leading up to the apprehension of the suspects today.
According to a Folsom Police Department report, Tyler Rosson, 23, and Devon Thomas, 23, were both taken into custody in connection with residential burglaries that took place on Townsend Court, a home fire on Ritchie Street and a firearm discharge.
According to the department media release, on Nov. 13, 2023, officers responded to a report of burglaries from homes under construction on Townsend Court.
In addition to the theft, several thousands of dollars of damage done to the homes during the incidents.
Just one week later on Nov. 21, 2023, Folsom Police Folsom Fire responded to a report of a fire at a home on Ritchie Street.
An investigation found the fire’s cause was arson. In addition to the arson charge, the two were linked to afirearm discharge nearby.
“The pair were also linked to the negligent discharge of an AR-15 style rifle from a moving vehicle, which occurred in the Briggs Ranch neighborhood of Folsom,” said the department’s report.
Rosson and Thomas were booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on multiple felony charges.
