The Folsom Lake Falcons baseball team(14-1, 2-0 Big-8) remains perfect in conference play after defeating the visiting, Sacramento City College, Panthers (7-9, 0-2 Big-8) by a final score of 13-3.

The Falcons wasted no time on Thursday as they scored three runs in the first inning to go up 3-0. The first two runs came off a single by JT Waldon which brought in Andrew Neil and Chris Catalano. The third run was scored by Waldon off a pass ball.

The biggest hit of the game came in the bottom of the fourth inning when designated hitter, Nate Vargas hit a grand slam to increase the Falcons lead to 9-0.

Joining Vargas in the home run category was Logan Sutter, who hit one in the bottom of the fifth inning to put the Falcons up 12-0.

Starting on the mound and earning the win for the Falcons was left-handed pitcher, Dylan Warren,who pitched five innings while giving up 1 hit, 2 runs, walked 2, and struck out 5 batters.

The Falcons extend their winning streak to 12 games and head to Union Stadium at Sacramento City College on Friday as they attempt to sweep the Panthers in this three-game series.
