This Memorial Day weekend, Powerhouse Pub turns up the volume with a five-show lineup that promises non-stop live entertainment in Historic Folsom. From classic rock and retro pop to hard-driving blues and throwback dance jams, it’s a three-day party with something for everyone.
Kicking off the weekend on Friday, May 23, is Wildheart at 7:00 p.m. for the TGIF Early Show. The band draws its eclectic style from a wide range of icons including Heart, Fleetwood Mac, CCR, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and Stevie Wonder. With a soulful blend of rock, pop, and Americana, Wildheart creates a captivating live experience that nods to timeless influences while keeping the energy fresh and fun.
Later Friday night, the crowd gets a full dose of high-octane nostalgia with Dirty Clean Band, taking the stage at 10:00 p.m. This powerhouse group features seasoned musicians who’ve played with acts like Journey, Huey Lewis & The News, and Ben Harper. Their setlist spans the best of rock and pop from the ‘60s through the 2000s—always with a modern twist and a firm refusal to play the usual clichés. Expect everything from Tom Petty to Harry Styles, and prepare to dance.

Saturday, May 24, gets off to an upbeat start at 3:00 p.m. with a dance party led by B Side, a versatile group known for their high-energy takes on rock, soul, funk, R&B, and country. Covering crowd favorites from the ‘60s to the present, B Side brings nonstop rhythm and groove to the afternoon crowd, perfect for getting the long weekend vibes going early.
The party continues Saturday night when Adam Aldama & The Aces hit the stage at 10:00 p.m. with “That’s What I Call 90’s”—a tribute to the golden age of dance jams and throwback hits.

Known for their high-energy themed shows like The Red Corvettes (Prince tribute) and Y2K Live (2000s throwbacks), this time The Aces are diving deep into the ‘90s with hits that defined the decade. Led by Adam Aldama on vocals, the band includes Veronica Ballejos, Brett Sackett, Keywan Ryland, and Jimmy O’Shea—together delivering an electrifying show that’s part nostalgia trip, part dancefloor takeover.
Capping off the weekend on Sunday, May 25, is the Powerhouse of Blues series featuring Dennis Johnson, taking the stage at 3:00 p.m. A true blues-rock powerhouse, Johnson has toured the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and has opened for legends including Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, George Thorogood, and Tinsley Ellis. Now a headliner in his own right, he delivers scorching guitar solos, smooth vocals, and an electrifying stage presence backed by a rhythm section that’s second to none.

Johnson seamlessly blends traditional blues with contemporary energy, creating a modern style that resonates across generations. His latest album Revelation was recently nominated for Best Blues Rock Album at the 2025 Blues Music Awards in Memphis, and he’s the recipient of the Bobby Rush Blues Entertainer Award for Outstanding Musicianship. From his time with The Zac Harmon Band to writing songs for Guitar Shorty, Johnson’s roots run deep in the blues, and his live show proves why he’s one of the genre’s most exciting artists today.
