Willamette Wineworks will host two exciting events this weekend at its Historic Folsom venue. On Saturday night, the weekly live music series continues with two well-known artists set to entertain. On Sunday, those looking to hone their skills in the art of preparing charcuterie will have a special opportunity to do so.
Starting with Saturday night, guests can enjoy the acoustic duo of Folsom’s own Sunny Mitchell and Matt Walbeck as they perform three hours with a mix of classic country and 90’s hits. The live music will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m. Many will recognize this pair from some of their other popular full-band acts, including the locally renowned Granite City Ramblers and in addition to his musical talents Walbeck is a retired Major League Baseball player and manager.
Reservation fees for the live music evening are $5, with refunds for wine club members and owners. Admission for the general public will be $5 at the door.
On Sunday, participants can indulge in a delightful culinary experience that elevates their charcuterie game to new heights as Willamette Wineworks presents a Spring Charcuterie Class with Chelsea Farrrah of Dancer’s Pantry.
Tickets for the class are $70 and it begins at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The captivating class spans approximately 90 minutes, during which attendees will unlock the secrets to crafting exquisite charcuterie boards while refining essential knife skills, mastering the art of food styling, and deepening their knowledge of cheeses, according to the class details.
Led by expert instructor Farrah, this immersive session is designed to empower guests with insider tips and tricks, ensuring that their charcuterie creations stand out at any gathering. From selecting the finest ingredients to arranging them with finesse, participants will learn the finer points of creating visually stunning and palate-pleasing displays.
Dancer’s Pantry provides all the necessary supplies for each participant, including a variety of fresh ingredients, high-quality utensils, stylish boards, and convenient to-go wrapping, while your first glass of 2019 Domaine Willamette Brut is included in your ticket purchase.
