Annual special event benefits the Folsom High School Music boosters
For more than 20 years, the annual Wine, Cuisine and Jazz Fundraiser presented by the Folsom High School Music Boosters has been a key fundraising event for the non-profit organization. On March 24, Historic Folsom will host what will be the 22nd rendition of this special event beneath the stars.
“We are so excited to have the Folsom High School Jazz event back in Historic Folsom for another year,” said Judy Collinsworth, executive director for the Folsom Historic District Association. “This event creates a fun energy here and it’s all for a great cause. The amphitheater is a great venue for the music boosters and guests, and it brings a great group of visitors to enjoy the district before and after.”
Bannered as Folsom’s premiere wine and cuisine event, entertainment will be provided by the award-winning Folsom High School jazz bands and jazz choir ed by the award-winning maestro and music director Curtis Gaessar. The high school performers will be joined by the talents of students from Sutter Middle School at the Zittel Family Amphitheater in the heart of the district.
Attendees will have the opportunity to taste wines from our local region, sample food from local restaurants while browsing silent auction tables featuring many exciting items to bid on, all in the spirit of benefitting Folsom’s aspiring music students.
The event takes place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday March 24. According to volunteers from the Folsom Music Bosters, tickets are going fast at $45 for general admission, which includes a commemorative glass and unlimited tastings from local wineries and restaurants.
The event is for ages 21 and over only and tickets can be purchased at www.folsommusic.org.
“Promoting Excellence in Music Education” is the mission of the Folsom High School Music Boosters,” said Jon Augustine, of the Folsom High Music Boosters.
A nonprofit organization established more than 20 years ago, the Music Boosters provide volunteer support for festivals, football games, parades, community events and fundraising in support of the music programs at Folsom High School.
The Zittel Family Amphitheater is located at 200 Wool Street in Folsom. The city parking garage at 905 Leidesdorff Street provides plenty of parking and short walk to the location of the event. For any additional information visit www.folsommusic.org.
