On the eve of its public opening, Yard House officially celebrated its arrival in Folsom on Saturday evening with a grand opening event that drew an enormous crowd to Palladio, marking the latest milestone and tenant addition in the shopping and entertainment center.
The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted with the Choose Folsom. City leaders, Sacramento County officials, state representatives, fellow business owners and residents from across the region gathered inside and out of the new restaurant to mark the opening ahead of its first full day of public service.
As part of its opening weekend celebration, Yard House also announced a $5,000 donation to Mercy Housing, supporting the organization’s work providing affordable housing opportunities in the region. Mercy Housing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing, managing and financing program-enriched housing for families, seniors and individuals with special needs, with a mission focused on stability, dignity and long-term community impact.
The new restaurant is located at 350 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1941, occupying a large, highly visible space at Palladio that was previously home to Forever 21.The restaurant is positioned in a premium position, adjacent to the center’s Piazza that is home to many events as well as community concerts during the summer months.
The conversion from retail storefront to full-service restaurant required extensive construction work, including a complete interior redesign, kitchen installation, bar buildout and the addition of Yard House’s signature draft beer infrastructure. In the weeks leading up to opening, contractors completed final finishes while management focused on staffing, training and operational readiness.

Founded in 1996 in Long Beach, California, Yard House was created with a vision of redefining the modern taproom experience by pairing chef-driven American cuisine with an expansive and carefully curated draft beer program. The brand’s name traces back to a colonial-era tradition in which beer was served in 36-inch “yard” glasses, a historical nod that reflects its longstanding focus on beer culture.
Over the past three decades, Yard House has grown from its Southern California roots into a nationally recognized restaurant brand. In 2012, the company was acquired for $585 million by Darden Restaurants, joining a portfolio that also includes Olive Garden and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The acquisition helped accelerate Yard House’s expansion while maintaining its emphasis on menu innovation, atmosphere and beverage quality.
Beer remains at the center of the Yard House experience. Many locations feature more than 100 beers on tap, supported by complex draft systems designed to keep beer consistently chilled and fresh from keg to glass. The company places a strong emphasis on how beers are selected, stored and served, with offerings that include domestic, imported and craft selections, rotating seasonals and brewery collaborations.
The menu reflects Yard House’s California-inspired approach to American fusion cuisine. Longtime favorites across the brand include items such as Poke Nachos, Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Vampire Taco Combo, along with a wide range of burgers, sandwiches and shareable appetizers. The restaurant also offers a full selection of steaks and chops, seafood dishes, salads and plant-based options, allowing the menu to appeal to casual diners, families and large groups alike.
The Folsom restaurant becomes the third Yard House location in the greater Sacramento region, joining existing locations at Sacramento’s Downtown Commons and The Fountains at Roseville. Another location is planned in Elk Grove, continuing the company’s expansion throughout the region.
Yard House is also part of a broader wave of well-known brands choosing to locate at Palladio in recent months. The center has welcomed several new additions, including Shake Shack, LOFT, Oz Korean BBQ and Devons Jewelers, further strengthening its mix of dining, retail and entertainment offerings and reinforcing Palladio’s role as a regional destination.
