Tickets on Sale for Special Outdoor Performance of “Young Frankenstein” to benefit Folsom’s beloved Christmas Cottage
The summer sun may be shining, but the spirit of the holidays is already on its way to the Historic District. On Saturday, August 30, the Folsom Historic District Association is inviting the community to gather at the Zittel Family Amphitheater for a festive night of laughter and giving, all in support of Santa’s Christmas Cottage.
The evening will feature a live performance of Young Frankenstein by the award-winning Sutter Street Theatre. The cult comedy classic will be brought to life outdoors under the stars, with guests encouraged to dress as their favorite characters for extra fun. The performance begins at 7 p.m. and promises the signature energy and creativity Folsom audiences have come to expect from the historic theater company.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children 10 and under, available now at HistoricFolsom.org/event. Proceeds from the event go directly to Santa’s Christmas Cottage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to bring holiday magic to families each year in the heart of Folsom.
Built in 2024 by a dedicated team of volunteers and the Folsom Rotary Clubs and a team of community volunteers, the charming Santa’s Cottage quickly became a treasured seasonal attraction in the Historic District Plaza.
With its nostalgic design and joyful atmosphere, the Cottage now serves as a backdrop for cherished family memories and beloved traditions throughout the month of December.
This summer’s fundraiser will help cover off-season storage, maintenance, and future programming costs to ensure the Cottage continues to delight for generations to come.
Guests are encouraged to bring chairs for the show. Outside beverages are not permitted, but wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase on-site.
