They’re back performing locally after a European tour earlier this year, and this Saturday, the Sacramento-based Zach Waters Band will headline a night of entertainment at Orangevale’s Jan’s Lounge.
The Zach Waters Band is a rock and blues trio from Sacramento, California, consisting of drummer Steve Pires, bassist Grayson Roberts, and frontman Zach Waters on guitar and vocals. Taking inspiration from classic artists such as Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and more, Waters brings his own twist to the classic rock and blues-driven genre.
“A lot of people out there claim to be rock ’n’ roll, but rock ’n’ roll is so much more than a couple of hours of music on a Friday night. Rockin’ and rollin’ is a lifestyle—an energy that cannot be denied,” Waters said. “Rock ’n’ roll is about loud guitars, banging drums, stomping bass, and coming together to fight the challenges life throws at us. So let’s all come together and let the music take us far away.”
The Zach Waters Band has shared the stage with acts such as Dokken, Y&T, Pat Travers, Albert Cummings, Frank Hannon, L.A. Guns, Gretchen Menn, Ron Artis II, Chris Cain, Tommy Castro, Jackie Greene, Atomik Tommy McClendon (UFO), The Darbies, and others. Waters is also an endorsed artist for Ernie Ball Music Man, Tantris Picks, and Thimble Guitar Slides.
In 2018, readers of Sacramento News & Review voted the band the best blues/rock act in the Sacramento region. In 2019, they were nominated for three Sacramento Music Awards (Blues, Teen Artist, Live Performer), and most recently, the band was nominated for another Sacramento Music Award for Rock Artist of the Year.
Located at 9222 Greenback Lane, Jan’s Lounge isn’t just about live music. With a full bar, freshly made pizzas, and weekly activities like karaoke, DJ trivia, and country line dancing, it’s a favorite destination in Orangevale. Saturday’s how starts at 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.janslounge.com.
There is no cover charge for Saturday’s show, which is sponsored by the Sacramento Sound Coalition.
