The Boardwalk will be home to a night of music Saturday that will act as a send off for one local band that is heading off on a European tour next week. The Sacramento based Zach Waters band will headline a night of entertainment at the Orangevale music venue. The evening will also include Hazmat and performances by School of Rock of Roseville.
The Zach Waters Band is a rock and blues band from Sacramento, CA. This power trio consists of drummer Steve Pires, bassist Grayson Roberts, and is fronted by guitarist and vocalist Zach Waters. Taking inspiration from classic artists such as Jimi Hendrix, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, and more, this young artist is putting his own twist on the classic rock, blues driven genre.
“A lot of people out there claim to be rock n roll, but rock n roll is so much more than a couple hours of music on a Friday night. Rock’n and Roll’n is a lifestyle, an energy that cannot be denied,” says Waters. “Rock n Roll is about loud guitars, banging drums, stomping bass, and coming together to fight the challenges that life throws at us. So let’s all come together, and let the music take us far away”
The Zach Waters Band has been fortunate enough to share the lighted stage with acts such as: Dokken, Y&T, Pat Travers, Albert Cummings, Frank Hannon, LA Guns, Gretchen Menn, Ron Artis II, Chris Cain, Tommy Castro, Jackie Greene, Atomik Tommy McClendon(UFO) The Darbies, and others! Furthermore, Zach is also an endorsed artist for Ernie Ball Music Man, Tantris Picks, and Thimble Guitar Slides.
In 2018, the readers of Sacramento News and Review Magazine voted the band as the best Blues/Rock act in the Sacramento region, and in 2019 they were nominated for 3 Sacramento Music Awards (Blues, Teen Artist, Live Performer.) Most recently The Zach Waters Band has been nominated for another Sacramento Music Award for Rock Artist of the year. Following Saturday’s show, the band travels to the UK for a series of show dates for their European tour.
