Spring is a time of growth and renewal, and that spirit is alive and well in Folsom’s business landscape.

At Choose Folsom, we’re constantly working to support and foster an environment where businesses can thrive. A crucial part of that is looking towards the future through strategic development initiatives. This month, I want to provide an update on two key projects shaping our city’s future and creating exciting growth opportunities.

One area of significant focus is the revitalization of Folsom’s Central Business District. As many of you know, we have a rich history and a vibrant community, and ensuring our central core remains a thriving hub for commerce and community life is paramount.

The Central Business District Vision Plan serves as our roadmap, outlining objectives for economic development, infrastructure improvements, and enhanced community engagement. It isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about creating a dynamic and attractive destination for residents, visitors, and businesses.

We’re seeing tangible progress in this area, with ongoing discussions and planning for infrastructure upgrades, potential new business spaces, and enhancements to the district’s overall aesthetic appeal. These efforts are designed to attract a diverse range of businesses, create more job opportunities, and ultimately strengthen our local economy.

Another exciting development on the horizon is the Folsom River District. This ambitious project along the American River and Lake Natoma holds immense potential to transform our waterfront and create a unique destination for recreation, tourism, and business.

Recently, the Folsom River District scale model was unveiled, providing our community with a tangible glimpse into the future possibilities. This model serves as a vital tool for understanding the scope and vision of the project, allowing residents and stakeholders to visualize the potential for new businesses, public spaces, and enhanced access to our region’s natural resources.

Choose Folsom is actively involved in the River District Organizing Committee, working alongside the City of Folsom and other key stakeholders to ensure that this development aligns with our community’s values and contributes positively to our economic vitality. The River District will not only be a significant draw for visitors but also create new avenues for local businesses to flourish and expand.

These development initiatives are not just abstract plans but concrete steps toward building a stronger and more prosperous future for Folsom. They represent our commitment to attracting investment, creating jobs, and enhancing the quality of life for everyone who calls Folsom home.

At Choose Folsom, we understand that thoughtful and strategic development is essential for long-term economic success. We are dedicated to working collaboratively with the City, local businesses, and the community to ensure these projects move forward in a way that benefits all. I encourage you to stay informed about these initiatives and to engage in the conversations that will shape Folsom’s future.

Together, we can build an even more vibrant, prosperous, and successful Folsom.
