Longtime Folsom resident to perform at Folsom Community Awards at Harris Center May 7
FOLSOM, CA – Cynthia Renee, singer-songwriter with Twelve-Seventeen/SSM Nashville Records, has advanced into the top 100 of the Music Row Country Music Breakout Charts this week with her original song “Good on Me.” The track, penned by the longtime Folsom, California resident, has ascended another four positions, into the 97th spot in the latest charts released Friday.
“Good on Me,” best described as a bluesy country ballad that was co-written by Renee and Nashville’s Pete Salas, marks Renee’s second single to hit the country radio market play within the past year. Preceding Good on Me, her release of her rockin’ energetic, “Working on a Hangover,” climbed to 82 on the Music Row Country Music Breakout Charts last year, following much success on the New Music Weekly Indie Charts where it climbed to number one.
Renee inked a deal with Twelve-Seventeen/SSM Nashville Records in 2023. When not journeying to Nashville for writing, recording, or radio tours, Renee is one of the Sacramento region’s busiest performers, gracing the stages of some of the area’s most popular venues.
Throughout the past year, Renee has garnered attention from various media outlets, including appearances on the Good Day Sacramento television show, the Pat Walsh Show on KFBK radio, as well as being featured in local entertainment publications and in several interviews with various radio show hosts across California, Nashville, Alabama and more.
Renee has performed in the company of several top artists such as Lady A and Maddie and Tae at KNCI Radio’s Country in the Park event and has opened for multi-platinum selling artist Uncle Kracker in Santa Barbara, California, and up-and-coming Broken Bow Records artist Chase Bryant in Reno, Nevada.
Renee’s performances over the past year have reached some of the largest audiences of her career, from the prestigious Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City to the Harris Center for the Performing Arts in her hometown of Folsom. She has performed National Anthem at high-profile sporting events, including NBA Basketball Sacramento Kings Games, NASCAR events, the National World of Outlaws Racing Series, and the Folsom Pro Rodeo. Renee is frequently booked at various casinos in Nevada and California, including Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Red Hawk Casino, Sky River Casino, and the El Dorado Casino in Reno, Nevada.
On Tuesday, May 7, Renee will headline the 2024 Folsom Community Awards, held at the Harris Center for the Arts in her hometown. Presented by the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, the event celebrates the city’s vibrancy, featuring local restaurants, wineries, breweries, and honoring community leaders and business owners for their achievements.
The event is open to the public from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with tickets available for purchase through the Folsom Chamber of Commerce website at www.choosefolsom.com. Attendees will enjoy a pre-event reception with food and beverage samplings, followed by an evening of entertainment, including select performances by Renee accompanied by longtime Sacramento area guitarist Jeff Brzozowski.
“I am honored to perform at the upcoming community awards held at the beautiful Harris Center for the Arts this year,” said Renee. “This event holds great prestige in Folsom, as it recognizes some of the city’s most notable figures, including business leaders, educators, and volunteers. It’s always special to perform close to home and in the city that the legendary Johnny Cash once wrote about and performed in.”
