Falcon’s Eye Theatre is set to captivate audiences at Folsom’s Harris Center for the Arts with their rendition of the Broadway sensation, Cabaret, premiering this Friday on Stage One of the Folsom Lake College venue.
Set in a Berlin nightclub as the 1920s near their end, Cabaret unfolds under the guidance of a charismatic Master of Ceremonies who promises an escape from life’s troubles within the walls of the Cabaret. Through the Emcee’s witty tunes and sharp commentary, the production delves into the dark and tumultuous atmosphere of Berlin as the looming threat of Nazism begins to emerge. Originally awarded the prestigious Tony Awards for Best Musical and Composer/Lyricist in 1967, Cabaret promises to immerse audiences in a gripping narrative. For those seeking a truly immersive experience, limited table seats are available.
Under the direction of Jennifer Provenza Wallace, with music direction by Graham Sobelman and choreography by Shannon Mahoney, Falcon’s Eye Theatre presents a stellar production featuring a talented creative team including scenic and projection designer Ian Wallace, costume designer Rebecca Redmond, lighting designer Isaiah Leeper, sound designer Eduardo Garza, stage manager Carlos Llontop, and technical director Cameron Hoyt.
Cabaret runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. through April 14th at the Harris Center Box Office. Please note that the production contains adult themes and is recommended for audiences aged 13 and above.
