In late February it was announced that New Jersey based retailer Bed, Bath & Beyond was set to close some 150 stores as the company faces bankruptcy challenges ahead. Now that list has grown to include the Folsom location.
Located at 2385 Iron Point Road, the 35,000 square foot Folsom location is one of 87 new closures nationwide announced by the company. The store is located in the Folsom Gateway II shopping center that also includes several large retailers, including Best Buy, REI, Pet Smart.
“As we continue to work with our advisors to consider multiple paths, we are implementing actions to manage our business as efficiently as possible,” reads an official statement issues by the company.
“Bed Bath & Beyond has decided to close the Folsom location in the coming months. We previously shared this information with our valued associates. While the decision to close a store is always a difficult one, local customers can find their favorite products at our nearby locations in Roseville and Sacramento, as well as online at bedbathandbeyond.com.”
The company has not released an official closing date for the Folsom location. The property is managed by Roseville based Gallelli Real Estate.
