The Folsom Chamber of Commerce, better known today as Choose Folsom welcomed one of its newest members with an official ribbon cutting this week.
Gathered at the Chamber’s offices located at the historic Granite School Building, local leaders and community members welcomed Smart Mist USA to the community.
Smart Mist USA is a do it yourself misting system that will allow you to enjoy your patio during those hot summer months.

Smart Mist USA was born during a series of hot summer days locally by Jeff Merrick.
“As the founder, I had spent many summers building a lovely patio for my family and me to enjoy,” says Merrick regarding the company that is his brainchild. “However, it became frustrating when the summer evenings were too hot for us to go outside and make use of our patio.”
Like many, Merrick tried an inexpensive misting system purchased at a big box store. “I was disappointed, to say the least. Then, I bought a booster pump from the same box store, but that did not work either,” he explains. “All that came of the project was a wet patio.”
It was then that Merrick began his quest to find a system that would cool his patio and not soak his family in the process.
The answer was a high-pressure (1000 psi ) system using a high pressure pump, which have been around for decades. So he brought modern smart technology to this industry and the concept of Smart Mist was conceived.
Today, he is A few years later, he offering the most advanced misting systems on the market to help his customers enjoy their outdoor areas during the summer heat.
