Folsom City Council returns to its chambers tonight for its final meeting of the month and one that has been much anticipated by both city officials as well as he community at large. Topping the list of agenda items tonight will be the first look at the proposed Fiscal Year City 2024-25 City Budget, presented by Folsom City Manager Elaine Andersen and her staff. The proposed budget, once adopted and approved by City Council, will begin on July 1 of this year.

Over the last several months, the forthcoming budget shortfall for the City of Folsom has been a topic of much concern across the community. From discussions on rising crime and homelessness issues surrounding public safety and staffing issues, to a proposed a city sales tax hike and more, the topic has filled the chambers of Folsom’s City Hall on many nights over the last several months. Tuesday night should be no exception and the city encourages residents to attend either in person or online to participate in the budget review and adoption process.
