Multiple units from the Folsom Fire Department and the El Dorado Hills Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at In-N-Out Burger in Folsom Thursday night.
At 8:14 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 units were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival firefighters reported the building was filled with smoke and began confirming the restaurant had been evacuated of all staff and patrons. As firefighters entered the building, they immediately observed heavy black smoke coming out of the men’s restroom area.
Per radio traffic, firefighters were securing a water line for an initial attack and checking for extension into the attic area of the restaurant. At 8:31 pm firefighters reported the active fire had been extinguished and that the restaurant remain evacuated.
At 8:42 p.m., El Dorado Hills units were released from the incident while Folsom Fire and Police remained on the scene investigating the incident. A total of three Folsom Fire unit, Truck 35 and one medic unit remained on scene later into the evening when the building was released back to its management and staff. Damage was limited to the restroom of the building. The Folsom Fire Department has not released any additional information on how the fire started or who was responsible as they continue to investigate the incident with Folsom Police.
