The Folsom Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, recently held their annual Mother-Daughter Tea and Senior Recognition at the Granite Bay Golf Club.

In attendance were over 130 members of the Folsom chapter which includes mothers and daughters in grades 7th through 12th.   The tea is an annual tradition dating back to 1947 and serves as a framework to cultivate NCL’s core values and strengthen the mother-daughter bond while practicing the art of etiquette.

The graduating class of 2024 were honored during their Senior Recognition with acknowledgment of completing the 6-year core program from 7th through 12th grade and awards for service hours.  Opal Simmons received the highest honor for completing the most philanthropy hours throughout her entire NCL experience. Opal volunteered almost 300 hours volunteering in our community and spent an additional 120 hours on various NCL & leadership activities.
