Folsom Police, with the assistance of neighboring agencies on land and in the air, apprehended five suspects following an another organized retail theft strike at a local sporting good store Thursday night.

According to Folsom Police, at about 8:30pm, Dick’s Sporting Goods alerted 911 to a theft that had just occurred where three subjects loaded garbage bags they brought into the store and stole clothing.

According to officers, “a good description of the getaway car helped responding officers with the Community Crime Suppression Unit locate the thieves as they were getting on the freeway.”  The driver didn’t pull over and led officers on a pursuit into Rancho Cordova, where all 5 suspects in the car fled on foot. 

With help from the Rancho Cordova Police Department and a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Air Unit, all five suspects were located and arrested.   Officers recovered the clothing, which added up to over $3,000.

The driver, Aaron Freeman (37, San Jose) was booked into the Sacramento county jail for fleeing in a vehicle, theft, conspiracy and resisting police.  

The other suspects, Darianna Larey (18, Goleta), Courtney Smith (39 Oakland) and Kynadee Wallace (19, Sacramento) were booked for theft, conspiracy and resisting police.

A 16 year old female was booked into juvenile hall for theft, conspiracy and resisting police.
