The Folsom Hotel welcomes a Northern California rock and roll band with a foundation in roots in Americana music this weekend. Forever Goldrush, will be performing live inside the Historic Folsom venue this Saturday, Jan. 13 along with special guests The Damn Liars, and Jon Emery.

Forever Goldrush has been developing their brand of Americana since 1997, according to the band’s promotional materials. Born in the gold country foothills of Northern California this quartet of childhood friends have released four full-length records combining literate songwriting with folk, country blues, and rock and roll music. No Depression magazine described it as, “roots rock meets cowboy poetry”.

Their 1998 self-released debut album, Unknown Territory earned them Sacramento music awards for best Americana Album and Best singer-songwriter. While signed to independent label Headhunter Cargo Music, the band toured heavily across the western United States gracing stages from The Great American Music Hall to the SXSW music festival. Over the years they have been honored to play shows with bands like Slobberbone, The Drive By Truckers, Neko Case, Lucero, and countless others.

In 2021 the band digitally re-issued their entire back catalogue and began recording a new album with Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips as producer. Forever Goldrush’s fifth and latest release is titled Moonflower Songs.

Doors open for the concert at 6:00 p.m. for Saturday’s show which begins at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at $10 and can be purchased in advance online here https://www.seetickets.us/event/forever-goldrush/582837
