A Folsom roadway was closed for several hours late Friday night and into Saturday morning as Folsom Police Department continued to investigate a traffic collision. The collision sent one motorcyclist to the hospital with injuries. The roadway reopened early Saturday.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:17 pm when units were dispatched to the intersection of Berry Creek Drive and Auburn Folsom Road. At least two vehicles were reportedly involved in the incident including a motorcycle and a sedan.The rider of the motorcycle was reportedly unconscious when first responders arrived on scene and was later reported to be responding with medics in some fashion as he was transported with what was described as serious injuries.
At approximately 10:00 pm, Folsom Police advised that the southbound lane of Folsom-Auburn Road would remain closed at the intersection of Berry Creek Drive as they investigate the crash. The closure was then expanded at 10:46 to include both directions of Auburn Folsom Road between Oak Avenue Parkway and Inwood Road.
Personnel from Folsom Fire Department responded to the incident with four units, including a Battalion Chief. Multiple officers from the Folsom Police Department, The incident was reportedly cleared after four hours.
