Collaboration. It’s one of my favorite words. Why? Because it’s a big reason for the success we’ve seen in Folsom and Greater Sacramento. Choose Folsom collaborates with several regional entities, including the following:

Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC)

Leading the region’s economic development strategy, Greater Sacramento Economic Council provides leadership and networking opportunities for the enormous six-county Greater Sacramento region. As a public-private partnership, it united CEOs and public leaders to a single vision, elevating the entire region’s economic competitiveness. GSEC provides startup resources, partnership opportunities, and support to businesses of all sizes.

Their support has been crucial to several of Folsom’s successes, including the recent announcement that Samsung Semiconductor is coming to our community.

Northern California Innovation District (NCID)

The Northern California Innovation District fosters innovation, economic sustainability, and growth across the Greater Sacramento Region and strives to connect, educate, develop, and promote the region and its community. It helps businesses do more business by providing necessary resources, ranging from webinars to impactful introductions.

Most recently, it launched Project Momentum. It also hosts events, including the NASA Space Apps Challenge Sacramento and monthly Pitch Nights for startups.

The 50 Economic Alliance

This alliance is found along the Highway 50 corridor and represents business and government interests. Their goal? Work collaboratively to showcase the region’s offerings to new and existing companies. One of the 50EA’s most impressive successes can be seen in the semiconductor manufacturing industry in Folsom and Rancho Cordova.

But that’s not all. Between the regional chambers, industry-specific organizations like the California Mobility Center, startup support like StartupSac and Startup Folsom, and coworking spaces such as Granite City Coworking , opportunities for collaboration are seemingly endless here.

And with it, opportunities for business growth.
