Emergency personnel responded to the scene of a vehicle accident on north east Folsom Boulevard Friday afternoon. The collision occurred near the light rail station, between Iron Point Road and Natoma Station Drive.

Multiple units from the Folsom Fire Department and Folsom Police were originally dispatched to the collision at 3:35 p.m. after a 911 call. Radio traffic reported the accident involved at least two vehicles and possible extrication was needed. Upon arriving on scene, it was reported the victims were out of the vehicles and a second medic unit was requested to respond to the scene.

The collision involved a sedan as well as an SUV and a pick up. It remains unknown how the vehicles collided, the SUV rolled over in the collision, which blocked the north east lanes of Folsom Boulevard for some time as personnel cleaned up the scene with the assistance of multiple tow trucks.

Folsom’s Medic Units 35 and 36 were both utilized to transport victims from the scene. It has not been reported if there were more than two victims, Folsom Police remained on scene investigating the collision as of 4:50 p.m.
