After months of rumors and assumptions stemming from permit and license applications, it’s now official, Dave and Buster’s is Folsom bound.  The popular dining and entertainment venue will be coming to Folsom’s Palladio at Broadstone.

After previously being tight lipped about the company seeking a Folsom location, Palladio make the news public Friday afternoon when it announced the center would become the newest site for Dave and Buster’s in the form of a public social media post.

“Well now we can confirm the rumors, Dave and Buster’s is joining the Palladio Family,” reads the statement. “Prepare for a whole new level of entertainment coming to Palladio in 2024.”

Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. is a company based in Dallas, Texas. They currently operate 155 of their unique entertainment and dining venues throughout North America. The venues are a full-service restaurant and bar that is accompanied by a vast number of video and interactive games.

The future Folsom location will be just the second Dave and Buster’s in the Sacramento region. They have been a popular destination for several years in the Fountains at Roseville.

The space Dave and Buster’s will fill at the Palladio is at 430 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1817. It was last occupied by Sports Authority, which closed its doors in 2016. The space has since been occasionally used as a seasonal Spirit Halloween Store and used for a handful of community events over recent years.

Dave and Buster’s has been applying for permits over the last several months with the County of Sacramento and others as they scoped out the location. However, the company would not entertain any media requests regarding their actions. They most recently applied for a liquor license and have posted a job opening for a General Manager.

The first Dave & Buster’s was opened in Dallas in 1982 by David Corriveau and James “Buster” Corley. Corley had previously operated a bar called “Buster’s” in Little Rock, Arkansas, next door to a saloon and game parlor called “Cash McCool’s”, owned by Corriveau. After opening Dave & Buster’s, the two operated as co-CEOs originally and the company grew in popularity from there.

Items on the Dave & Buster’s menu are offered from early lunch until late night and include pastas, burgers, steaks, seafood, chicken and desserts. The menu is frequently updated to reflect current trends and guest favorites. Buffets are available for special events and private parties. Dave & Buster’s is targeted towards an adult clientele than most location-based entertainment in general, with all guests under 21 required to be accompanied by a guardian.

At this time a specific opening date has not been announced, other than it will be in 2024.
