Folsom’s Goddard School celebrated Earth Day in a very unique way Wednesday, in the form of a Recycled Runway Fashion show featuring Pre-K students at its location on Outcropping Way.

Students used recycled materials that were previously discarded for the event, to learn about different recycling methods and “going green.” Once they were complete, the students had the opportunity to strut their recycled stuff down the runway for parents and guests.

“These projects foster creativity and imagination while giving children the opportunity to learn about recycling, going green and preserving the world around them.” said Joseph Markle, Media Relations Specialist for Goddard School. “The event went great! The kids loved showing off their recycled outfits and were joined by their parents and members of the staff.”

The Goddard School in Folsom is owner operated and offers a personal interest in each family’s childcare decision. The school cites itself as the preferred premier preschool for many Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay & surrounding areas with a goal is to be a resource for families and a community where parents can share information and learn from each other.
