LoFi Lowdown will bring its unique sound to the stage of Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale Saturday night, an evening of entertainment to kick off your weekend fun over homemade pizzas or cocktails with friends, and out on the dance floor of the longtime popular night spot on Greenback Lane.
LoFi Lowdown is a Sacramento-based rock and jam-grass fusion band, founded in 2021 by Jim Berry. From the beginning it was their intention to mix bluegrass influences into an overall rock sound, and they have found inspiration in everything from Billy Strings to AC/DC.
Citing that they have over, “200 years of musical experience between them,” the six LoFi boys deliver a, “raucous, good-humored blend of originals and covers, in an energetic style that is all their own.”
“JR’s nuanced and creative drumming, paired with Drew’s rocksteady bass groves, gives the backbone for Kurt’s thoroughly bluesy dobro, Aaron’s expressive guitar, Clay’s frenetic mandolin, and last but not least, Jim’s driving banjo and growling vocals,” states the bands promotional bio that also adds that it’s their 5-part vocal harmonies that gives their sound its most unique quality.
