Students in El Dorado Hills are preparing to take the stage later this week to bring one of Shakespeare’s most iconic and timeless plays to life. Under the direction of Henry Flores, John Adams Academy presents Macbeth and tickets are on sale.
The local production includes actors from 5th through 12th grade with 50 scholars participating both on stage and backstage.
New to the area, Flores is currently the Drama Teacher at John Adams in El Dorado. He is most known for his work with theatre companies such as Sierra Repertory, Center Repertory, Gallo Center Repertory and more.
“I am incredibly proud of every scholar for their talent, dedication and passion for this project.,” said John Adams Secondary Drama Teacher Henry Flores. “They are proof that Shakespeare is for everyone, especially young performers. I am so honored and humbled to be teaching at a school that values the performing arts as much as John Adams Academy does.”
Performances will be held at the following days and times: Thursday, November 9th at 6:30pm Friday, November 10th at 7:00pm, Saturday, November 11th at 12:30pm and 7:00pm.
