Four night series features free live music, food trucks on the green
Just when you thought you had to wait all the way to next week for your next dose of outdoor live music locally, the City of Folsom has your fix as the Summer of Music opens tonight at Folsom Lions Park.
Presented by the Folsom Parks and Recreation District each year, the Summer of Music is a four-night series spanning June and July that takes to the gazebo stage at Folsom City Lions Park, located next to the Folsom Library at 411 Stafford Street in Folsom.
The series opens tonight with Sacramento based band Pumping Irony The band brings decades of rock and roll to life with a collection of current hits and many old favorites performed by members Casey Webb, Jason Haxton, Nick Rock, and Christopher Saint.
I addition to the live music, a number of well-known area food trucks will be on site with plenty of tasty eats and sweets. Pumping Irony will hit the stage starting at 7and will continue to 9 p.m.
Following tonight’s opener, the next Summer of Music concert will be June 23 with Wasted Space followed by the Ariel Jean Band on July 14 and the Fryed Brothers Band closing out the series on July 28.
