The El Dorado County Sheriff’s office has confirmed that a suspect has been arrested for a series of burglaries that have recently occurred in a popular El Dorado Hills neighborhood.
Over the last month, detectives from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating a series of burglaries which occurred in the popular Blackstone community located off of Latrobe Road in El Dorado Hills, according to an agency report.
With help from residents of the community, security footage and what they described as, “proactive police” work by deputies, detectives were able to identify a person of interest. The suspect was known to be in Stanislaus County and on parole
On Friday, detectives conducted a parole search on the person of interest in Stockton. Based on items located during the out of area search, detectives arrested Marcus Anthony Wright of Stockton. Wright was booked on charges of felony burglary, in addition to prowling and violation of parole. As of Saturday he remained in custody with enhanced bail set at $665,000.
According to detectives, the investigation is still ongoing and if any residents in the area have any additional information they feel may assist them in the case, they are urged to contact the department.
