TNT series presents shows in Folsom, Auburn, Rocklin and Fair Oaks May 24 through June 8
Live theater returns to the Zittel Family Amphitheater for a fun way to kick off summer in Folsom next week with a lively performance of William Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors.” Take Note Troupe, known for its celebrated annual Shakespeare performances, will present the play on May 30, 31, and June 1 at 200 Wool St, Folsom.
Take Note Troupe’s Shakespeare in the Park has become a local summer tradition, offering fresh and engaging interpretations of classic works. This year, the troupe transports “Comedy of Errors” to the silver screen era, setting the tale of mistaken identities against the vibrant backdrop of the Jazz Age. Audiences will be treated to the glitz and glamour of flapper fashion and speakeasy culture as they follow the hilarious encounters of two sets of identical twins separated at birth.
The performances, featuring award-winning costuming, staging, and direction, will begin at 7:30 PM each night. Guests are encouraged to bring low-backed chairs or picnic blankets and a light jacket for after dark. Arrive between 6:30 PM and 7:15 PM to find a seat, and consider picking up dinner from a local eatery to enjoy during the show.
Admission is free, though donations are accepted to support the troupe. Take Note Troupe, a youth theater program based in Roseville, California, offers classes and performance opportunities focused on their foundational method, Play Theory, which promotes supportive collaboration and happiness.
