As we enter the holiday season, it’s a good time to reflect and give thanks. I’m grateful for many things – our incredible business community, the continued innovation I see throughout Greater Sacramento, and the stellar team at Choose Folsom, to name a few.

They all play a significant role in the ongoing successes and news that I love to share with you, including:

Foothill Wine Fest a Success

What a weekend we had at the Foothill Wine Fest! Thanks to all who helped make it memorable, including our sponsors, participating wineries, and all who attended. We had over 100 miles of the Sierra Foothill wine region at the Palladio for a beautiful fall evening, with over 70 wineries represented.

When we came up with the idea for the Foothill Wine Fest, we hoped it would succeed. This year’s event exceeded expectations, and I’m already looking forward to next year.

Kudos to Presenting Sponsors Prime Real Estate and SAFE Credit Union and Gold Sponsors Elliott Homes, Palladio, and Raley’s.

Choose Folsom’s own Phil Scott recently attended SMUD’s Sustainable Communities Partner Summit, where he connected with other community leaders collaborating to build sustainable communities in the Sacramento region. The event was a resounding success, and all attendees were inspired to continue the collaboration.

Choose Folsom is a proud recipient of a SMUD Shine Award to help members in underserved communities in the area build sustainable businesses through mentorship, programs, and coaching.

Holiday Ice Rink Now Open

Folsom’s popular holiday tradition is back in its original spot by the railroad turntable. The Holiday Ice Rink opened earlier this month for its nearly two-month run in Historic Folsom. Whether you’re a skater or a spectator, it’s a fun way to enjoy an afternoon or evening with family and friends.

Third Thursday Pitch Nights

The next Northern California Innovation District’s Pitch Night is, December 21, from 5-6:30 pm at Granite School in Folsom. It’s an opportunity to learn about local startups and investment opportunities with them in early and mid-stage. These events are educational in nature and not solicitations.

Learn more and reserve your spot on our website.
